Alyssa and Danny's Wedding Ceremony and Reception, Weborg 21 Centre, Gering, Nebraska, August 10th, 2019.
August was a super busy month with weddings. I had 5 weddings booked and loved being a part of every one of them!! August 10th proved to be one of the most popular dates of the year! Danny reached out to me back in February about their wedding and booked soon after...and it's a great thing he did at that time since I had many requests from other couples about the same date over the next couple of months, but I was already booked with their wedding.
Danny and Alyssa tied the knot outside at the Weborg 21 Centre and I brought along my extra, portable sound system to provide music and audio for their ceremony.
After their ceremony, everyone went inside to enjoy some air conditioning and celebrate their wedding!
We kicked things off with a grand introduction and dinner. Danny and Alyssa wanted to do something different for their cake cutting. So, they did a "cake in the face" contest with their guests. They had two aluminum buckets at the head table, one for the bride and one for the groom. I made the announcement that whoever gets the most money in their bucket gets to smash cake in the other one's face. The guests LOVED this idea and rushed their way to the head table to put their money in the buckets! Alyssa ended up with the most money in her bucket and then they went to cut the cake and she smashed cake in Danny's face. So much fun!!
Once the toasts were said, it was time to start the dance! We began with the special dances and then it was time to invite the rest of the guests to the dance floor.
WOW!! This group of guests were there to dance and have fun! The night went by so fast and it was a blast. Lots and lots of requests and the dancing was non-stop all the way to the last song of the night. It was great visiting with so many people there as many of the guests kept coming up to my DJ setup to let me know what they wanted to hear.
