Kayla and Cody's Wedding Reception!!
I've known Kayla and Cody over the past couple of years and they have been great friends of mine. We have also worked events together at the Weborg 21 Centre. They are such a fun couple with a good sense of humor!
Kayla has done work for Lisa Weborg over the years and has seen me DJ many weddings. She has always liked what I do as a DJ and a few years ago, she came up to me at the end of a reception at the Weborg 21 Centre and wanted to know if I was available for her brother's wedding. Thankfully, I had that date open and was the DJ for Aaron and Samantha's reception back then! Fast forward to Kayla and Cody's wedding, and she knew without a doubt that I was to be her DJ, too!!
Last year they had planned their wedding ceremony and reception, however, COVID changed those plans. They did still have their ceremony but had to wait until this year to have their reception.
They had a great turnout of guests at their reception and everyone had a lot of fun celebrating not only their reception but technically their first anniversary! Instead of a traditional cake or cupcakes, they did a donut and Little Debbie table and dessert stand. Everyone loved it...and I may, or may not have had 3 or 4 treats from it!
From their first dance to the last song of the night, the dance floor was filled with guests who were there to celebrate and dance! Kayla had some special requests for me and I played them all, including the song "Hold On" from Wilson Phillips...and one of the guests by the name of Tiffany, wanted the microphone to sing along, so I handed her the microphone and it was truly a special and fun moment for her and Kayla to sing along.
