Megan and Zach's Wedding Reception, November 23rd, 2019, Eagles Club, Alliance, Nebraska.

At the beginning of 2019, I received an email from Megan letting me know that they were interested in reserving The DJ Music System for their reception at the Alliance Eagles Club.  Megan also mentioned she saw me at the Brooke and Tyler Briggs wedding, plus heard and read many positive words about my DJ service.

When couples contact me about their weddings, I send them an email with some info about my DJ service and also include some questions to get a better idea of what they're planning.  I read over her reply and enjoyed hearing what they were planning and I couldn't wait to be their DJ!  She mentioned that they wanted their reception to be "one big party!"  And that, it was!!

They had a delicious appetizer table, dinner, plus cake, cupcakes, and later into the night, nachos!!  There were easily over 300 people attending and they were so much fun to entertain and they also had probably the largest bridal party I've ever had to announce for the grand introduction, but it was a blast!  Lots of classic rock, country, today's hits, and a variety of requests filled the playlist throughout the night.

I captured many pictures throughout the night and speaking of pictures, I got to work with the professional photographer Timothy Eyrich with Timothy Eyrich Photography, and his second shooter, Scott.  Plus, I met their videographers, Hannah and Justine, with Back 40 Photography.  You can see an amazing video they put together by clicking here.

Everyone had so much fun throughout the entire evening and it went all the way until midnight, just like they planned.  My only concern was the weather since their reception was in Alliance towards the end of November, and I live in Scottsbluff.  Most DJs, including myself, have a clause in their contracts about inclement weather preventing safe travel to events.  However, the weather was beautiful that day, just a little breezy (that's totally normal in this part of the state, though), but it was warm enough outside to where you didn't even need a jacket.  Road conditions were perfect and I made it there and back without a problem.  The next weekend was quite different (which I'll talk more about in Austin and Jason's Reception blog), so they planned the perfect date for their wedding.

Thank you again, Megan and Zach, for choosing The DJ Music System for your reception.  It was an honor to be your DJ and I wish you two the very best!!
