2020 has no doubt been a challenging year for all of us.  The COVID-19 situation this year also caused lots of changes, cancellations, and reschedules for weddings.

The wedding of Allison and Ryan was one of them, but even though their plans didn't go as originally planned, the amount of joy and love that I witnessed at their wedding was amazing.  I heard this was originally going to be a large out-of-state wedding, but COVID changed all of that for them.

They decided to do a backyard wedding at Allison's parent's house as an alternative.  I was asked if I was available to DJ, I was, and they booked me!  The Weborg 21 Centre team decorated the yard with tables, linens, a bar, cocktail tables, stands, candles, and more.  Taylor Frazier did the floral designs.  And I played the music and helped coordinate the events.

We set up the day before, then did additional setting up on the day of their wedding.  I also went there the night before their wedding for the rehearsal.  Their pastor/officiant was Jeff Banks, who did a fantastic job with both the rehearsal and ceremony.  I actually worked with Jeff in radio broadcasting many years ago, so it was great seeing him again!

The wedding was absolutely beautiful and everything ran so smoothly.  A wonderful selection of music, a ceremony with a heartfelt and meaningful message, and a reception to remember was something everyone there enjoyed.

After dinner, there was some thunder, lightning, and rain that moved the party inside, but that didn't change anything.  They continued on with the toasts, some dancing, and lots of special moments and memories were shared with everyone there.
